2. Key Technical Features
High-Pressure Performance
Positive displacement technology is suitable for applications requiring controlled fluid movement against relatively high discharge pressures.
Consistent Flow
The pump delivers a defined volume of fluid per revolution or stroke. Flow can therefore be controlled by adjusting pump speed where the drive system permits.
Viscous-Fluid Handling
Depending on the pump design, PD pumps can efficiently handle fluids considerably more viscous than those normally handled by conventional centrifugal pumps.
Self-Priming Capability
Many PD pump configurations provide self-priming capability, subject to the manufacturer's specified suction conditions.
Variable-Speed Operation
Electric-motor-driven packages can be equipped with a Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) to regulate pump speed and consequently adjust flow.
Heavy-Duty Construction
The pump and skid can be manufactured using materials selected for demanding oil & gas, petrochemical, wastewater and industrial environments. Driscoil Equipment supplies high-performance Positive Displacement Pumps engineered for reliable fluid transfer across the oil & gas, petrochemical, marine, wastewater, chemical, construction and industrial sectors.
Our PD pump packages are available in rotary and reciprocating configurations and can be supplied with electric, diesel or hydraulic drives. Packages can be configured with heavy-duty skids, gearboxes, control panels, VFDs, instrumentation, valves, pressure-relief systems and other accessories to meet specific operating requirements.
Designed for applications involving high pressure, controlled flow, viscous fluids, sludge, slurry, hydrocarbons and process fluids, these pumps provide a dependable solution for demanding fluid-transfer operations.
Available for sale with application-specific flow rates, pressure ratings, materials of construction and drive configurations.
